Launched in 2008, the Community and Women’s Groups Wage-Funded Retirement Plan is rapidly expanding. We are seeking a dynamic, creative, and motivated individual eager to learn new concepts and thrive in a rich and stimulating work environment serving community organizations.

Your Role

The Development and Communications Officer’s primary mandate is to promote the Plan to non-member organizations with the aim of increasing the number of participants. They also orchestrate internal and external communications, particularly with member organizations and Plan participants, to strengthen its network. In support of the Training Manager, they plan and organize training tours and ensure their follow-up, while also assisting with facilitation. Finally, they ensure the Plan’s visibility by maintaining a regular presence on social media.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Promote the Plan to non-member organizations;
  • Collaborate on the development of the Plan’s educational and promotional tools;
  • Draft newsletters and all other communication documents;
  • Publish and manage various social media platforms and Plan news;
  • Ensure the logistical organization of the Plan’s tours and training sessions;
  • Deliver training;
  • Maintain a training register and follow up with visited organizations;
  • Update the Plan’s various presentations.

Requirements and Conditions

Requirements:

  • Hold a diploma in a field relevant to the position
  • Minimum of 2 (two) years of experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of social media
  • Excellent command of spoken and written French
  • Knowledge of and sensitivity to the realities of the community sector
  • Interest and aptitude for training and making information accessible
  • Excellent command of the Office suite
  • Proficiency in communication tools (WordPress, Outlook, mass email software, etc.)


Working Conditions:

  • Permanent 35-hour per week position
  • Salary according to salary scale and qualifications (starting at $59,476)
  • Attractive benefits: group insurance and retirement plan, 4 weeks of vacation and 2 weeks of leave at the end of December, bank of floating and sick days.
  • Work primarily in-person at the Plan’s offices with the possibility of teleworking after the probationary period.
