The RRFS-GCF is committed to protecting the confidential information you provide. If you voluntarily send personal or confidential information by email, we will use only the information necessary to allow the RRFS-GCF team to respond to your message or follow up on your request. Electronic correspondence is handled with the same confidentiality measures as other written documents.

The RRFS-GCF strongly encourages the transmission of personal or confidential documents through its administrative portal. The entire portal is protected by an SSL security protocol. Therefore, the portal is inaccessible to any browser that does not support this encryption. This security ensures the safe exchange of your personal data between the server and your computer. The account you create on the Retirement Plan portal is intended for your personal use, and only you may use your login credentials. It is your responsibility to log out securely after each session.

Although the portal allows you to communicate and send scanned documents to the resource person and the administrator of your retirement plan, please note that the security of electronic documents kept in your possession before and after this transmission (including on your cellphone, tablet, computer, external hard drive, or cloud storage) is your responsibility. Make sure to delete any scanned copy if it cannot be stored securely.

What are your rights regarding your data?

You may request a file containing all the personal data we hold about you, including any information you have provided to us. You may also request the deletion of your personal data. This does not include data retained for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

With whom do we share your data?

The personal data you provide is shared with the firm PBI Conseillers en actuariat, which is responsible for the administration of the Plan, as well as Retraite Québec and the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). The RRFS-GCF is committed to not using personal information for purposes other than those for which the file was created. It also commits to not disclosing or selling your confidential information to third parties, except where legally required.
